I began working with clay in 2002 and immediately felt as if I had ‘come home’. I enjoy the feeling of the clay in my hands and love creating forms and textures with this amazing material.
After initially learning to throw with a professional potter, I enrolled in Ceramics – Studio Techniques at the Coffs Harbour TAFE and in 2006 had completed in both Certificates II and III with Distinctions and Awards for Excellence in both Certificates II and III. I now look forward to further exploring different glazing and firing techniques.
Previous studies in Archaeology, Palaeoanthropology and Mythology and Ancient Literature have given me a basis from which to explore and be inspired by timeless and ancient sources and mythologies.
I also take inspiration from the natural world around me and the beautiful countryside in which I live.
I would be happy to obtain orders or commissions.
